This goal focuses on equal opportunities to women and their empowerment. In the rural areas of India, women have to cross long distances to fetch water as fresh water is not easily available everywhere. This process is very risky and tiring.

Indiagosolar has been trying to achieve Goal 5 by installing solar water pumps in such areas, so women don’t have to risk their lives just to get access to basic amenities like water. Solar water pumps will not only give women the access to water everywhere but will reduce the electricity bill, time and effort.

Additionally, upon introduction of solar energy in India, the gender gap in white collar employment has reduced, since women account for 32% of jobs in solar sector. Indiagosolar is contributing to gender equality by employing more than 50% female staff.

This goal focuses on affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Solar power in India is a fast developing industry and the 300 clear and sunny days in India throughout the year help cater to that. With the provision of subsidies in the 2020 budget for renewable energy and Indiagosolar’s platform, IndiagoSolar has been setting up solar panels and pumps everywhere to provide people with sustainable energy and increased savings.

Additionally, Indiagosolar is dedicated to providing solar energy to all. We have 250+ franchise partners which helps us have a pan India presence. We are teaming up with companies to provide financial assistance to all our clients so everyone can afford using solar power.

This goal focuses on providing decent work and economic growth to all, keeping sustainability in mind. Since solar industry was introduced in 2010 as Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission the sector has employed more than 3,00,000 people in clean energy directly and 40,00,000 indirectly.

Solar energy has not just created jobs but is also a boon for a country like India relying on imports for 80% of country energy needs. The energy cost has fallen subsequent to the introduction of solar program which pushed economy to grow at higher rate also shifting employment from agricultural to manufacturing and service sector.

Indiagosolar contributes to this goal by having a pan India distribution and installation presence. IndiaGoSolar has created several jobs for people looking to do business in solar sector with its franchise, retail kiosk and digital kiosk programs and installation jobs with instasolar program.

Goal 9 of SDG emphasis on industry, innovation and Infrastructure which are co-web in modern economy together in such a way to impact everyone in the society.Solar Energy is most recent Innovation developing a nationwide industry and Infrastructure to provide access to clean energy to everyone.

India is the cheapest energy producer in the Asia Pacific Region; with the help of Renewable energy India is building long term Infrastructure for the Industry’s growth.

During the fiscals 2020 to 2025 Energy sector has the highest investment proposed under National Infrastructure Pipeline.

Out of the total Investment in Infrastructure Energy has the highest share proving the importance for the larger impact and change in society, out of this renewable energy has proposed 929,500 crore rupees of investment more than telecommunication & Rural Infra.

IndiaGosolar contributes to this goal by creating numerous business and job opportunities for people with its franchise, retail and digital kiosk and instasolar platforms.

Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. The target of this goal is to ensure access to adequate, safe and affordable housing and basic services to all, by 2030.

Support least developed countries, through financial and technical assistance, in building sustainable and resilient buildings utilizing local materials. This is where IndiaGoSolar comes in, we provide sustainable, smart green homes in up-in-coming neighborhoods. This is a joint initiative by IndiaGoSolar and Foreclosuer India. With this initiative, we are hoping to help people find the home of their dreams. The homes are equipped with smart technology and maximum part of the energy requirements are met with solar power. This was, we are trying to ensure smart and green homes for all.

The Paris climate Agreement 2016 within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) signed by India to decrease Global Warming through

  1. (a) Holding the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2 °C above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels, recognizing that this would significantly reduce the risks and impacts of climate change;
  2. (b) Increasing the ability to adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change and foster climate resilience and low greenhouse gas emissions development, in a manner that does not threaten food production;
  3. (c) Making finance flows consistent with a pathway towards low greenhouse gas emissions and climate-resilient development.

India is set to achieve 2 of 3 Paris Agreement Goals ridding on Sustainable and clean energy

  • 1. 40% of India’s power capacity would be based on non-fossil fuel sources
  • 2. Greenhouse gas emission intensity of its GDP will be reduced by 33-35% below 2005 levels by 2030.

The energy sector is the top contributory of Climate change and unless Energy sector shifted to Renewable energy the SDG 13 climate Action can’t be achievable.

Indiagosolar contributes to this goal by working in clean and renewable energy sector and contributing to build a clean, green and smart future.
